For Me And My Lilly Presents,

A cold discussion into how we feel about death, and a starting point to a life long journey, using movement text and image combined to create a provocative experience.

do we need to make a deal with god?

or a pact with the devil?

or do we just die?

Death.

Who really knows?

We think this, they think that. The performance is about questions, it is about us questioning our existence, and it is about questioning what happens when we die and how we feel about dying. It is about questioning our philosophies, our faith, our fears, our obsessions, and our intrigue to a lifelong question.

We discuss. We discuss through our bodies, through the rhythm we create, the words we speak, the images we make, the challenges we face and our explanations.

We have no answers; but we have questions, expectations, beliefs and fears. We put these questions to you, to react, ponder your own existence and feed your intrigue.

We are a company, who through creation of performance hope to gain insight into the ineffable processes of life. In doing this we hope to intrigue and engage our audiences.

The different perspectives of death shall be analysed. We explore what happens physically and spiritually. How belief can alter perceptions on the journey we take from life to death.

A journey

Beyond the grave

What’s next?

Afterlife, after death

Who really knows?

We think this, they think that

Do we make a deal with God?

When is the end?

What is the cost of death?

How much is life worth

Do we get judged?

Does this story continue?

Will the show go on?

Taking the next step

Up the stairway to heaven

Or stepping into the depths of hell

We are all exploring life.

It is like following a path which has many different ways to go. A choice made only by gut feeling. A path with no way back. Hoping that your way reaches the other side, to place of sanctuary. It is a hard trek, some parts of the journey are tight and with slips and falls, you just keep on going. Your walk is in hope that it does not lead into the dead end. All your hard work, for nothing, we hope that there is life on the other side that the walk continues to the other side.

We have researched different intellectual approaches to the questions posed:

Faith,

Philosophy,

Humanism,

Sensationalism,

Fear,

Anxiety,

Psychology,

Biology

and Pathology.

By using these approaches we hope to give an unbiased argument into how we and others perceive death.

We put this into practice through performative techniques such as;

Movement,

Text,

Image,

Song,

Rhythm,

Conversation

And risk.

We ask the question,

‘And then what?’

And Then What...
